Spain is located in south-west Europe. Spain is bordered by France to the north, the Mediterranean sea to the east, Africa to the south and Portugal to the west.

Spain’s important sectors of economy are wholesale and retail trade, transport, accommodation and food services, public administration, defense, education, human health and social work activities, and industry. EU trade accounts for 66% of Spain’s exports with France, Germany and Italy, while outside the EU, trade goes to the United States and Morocco. In terms of imports, 58% come from EU Member States with France, Germany and Italy, while outside the EU 7% imports come from China and the United States.
