Belgium is located in western Europe and has been part of the EU since 1958, Belgium uses the Euro and has three main languages: Dutch, French and German. Belgium's population is roughly 11.35 million.

Belgium is bordered by The Netherlands to the north, Germany to the east, France to the west, and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to the south. Belgium has three language-based communities and three regions: Flemish in Flanders (north), French and German in Wallonia and the capital Brussels which is considered neutral.
The most important sectors of Belgium’s economy are public administration, defence, education, human health and social work activities , wholesale and retail trade, transport, accommodation and food services and industry.
