PR: ISME is coming to the North East for our next Roadshow

  • ISME’s next Roadshow will take place in Gormanston, Co. Meath on the 27th February 2020 
  • Key opportunity for businesses to network and ‘Pitch my business’ 
  • SME lobbying, Upskilling, Insurance Reform and Health and Safety will be discussed 
  • Admission to the event will be complimentary

ISME, the Irish SME Association has announced that the Association will host its next Roadshow in CityNorth Hotel & Conference Centre, Gormanston, Co. Meath. The event will take place on the 27th February 2020.

The National Roadshows provide an opportunity for businesses to network and enjoy talks and discussions from a selection of speakers on topics such as SME lobbying, Upskilling, Rising Insurance Costs and Health and Safety. This year attendees will also have the opportunity to ‘Pitch my business’ to fellow attendees. 

Kay Baxter from the Inspector, Business and Education Support Unit of the HSA will be at five of the Roadshows during the year including 27th February, and will discuss and demonstrate the BeSmart Programme – a free online Risk Assessment and Safety Statement Tool designed specifically for SMEs. Before and after event, Kay will be available to meet attendees to show how using BeSMART.ie can benefit their businesses by improving safety, saving money, time and reducing paperwork.

The event will take place between 8.00 am and 9.45 am. After the Roadshow at 10am, John Kelly, Regional Manager, Information, Inspection & Enforcement Division at the WRC will be giving a workshop on their Inspection Service including what happens at an inspection. This is also free event.

Speaking in advance of the Roadshow, ISME CEO Neil McDonnell said:

“There has been huge interest from the business community in Meath for this event. In preparation for a post BREXIT Ireland, it’s more important than ever for Irish businesses to network, and plan for the challenges ahead. The morning will provide an interactive space for local businesses to share best practice, and get up-to-speed on current issues facing the SME sector.I encourage local business owners and Managers in Meath to join us on the day and to take advantage of the knowledge of our expert speakers. And don’t forget your business cards!”
