Marc O’Dwyer, CEO of Ireland’s leading accounting software company has been crowned CEO of the Year at the Business All-Star Awards. Marc was awarded the coveted prize at an awards ceremony that took place at the All-Star Summit in Croke Park. It was the software company’s day as Big Red Cloud also scooped the ‘All Stars Brand of the Year’ Award.
The Business All-Star programme is an annual competition designed to identify and recognise Irish companies and individuals that have distinguished themselves in the conduct of their business over the last 12 months.
Speaking of the win Marc, an Irish entrepreneur who, in 2001, bought the majority share in a small Irish software company, Big Red Book, said
“I am absolutely honoured and humbled by the win. The calibre of people and businesses shortlisted was stellar, so I knew I was in good company even to have made the final. To win is honestly something I’m immensely proud of. Obviously, for any CEO to be effective they must have a good team of people around them and I definitely have that. The Brand of the Year win for the company is testament to the hard work my BRC team put in day in day out.”
Marc launched Big Red Cloud, the online version of Big Red Book, in June 2012 to keep pace with rapidly changing advancements in tech, which saw more and more business taking their operations online. Marc continues to run both Big Red Book & Big Red Cloud. Big Red Cloud is a leading supplier of online account’s software to the SME market in Ireland. 50,000 companies use their award-winning suite of products.
