Future of Procurement – Free Sustainability Event

Our Planet is Dying – What You Buy Matters!
Procurement Sustainability Summit hosted by Griffith College and IDDEA explores how buying right improves climate impact

Griffith College Dublin has partnered with award-winning strategic procurement company IDDEA to host the Sustainability Summit, the first in the ‘Future of Procurement” series of events designed to engage business leaders to buy right.

The event is set to take place Thursday 26 March 9pm at Griffith College’s South Circular Road campus, where industry experts will head discussions in procurement.
Event Speaker and CEO of IDDEA and co-founder of the Procurement Transformation Institute Ingrid De Doncker said, “Good buying processes are strategically important. Not only can implementing sustainable procurement practices add 10x to the bottom line in business, but those choices can also contribute to managing climate change, the well-being of future generations, and the health of the economy.”

The Transformation Institute, is joined on stage by Head of Sustainability of Musgrave John Curran, experts from Crowley Carbon, Dublin City Council and the PTI. De Doncker is Ireland’s foremost procurement authority, contributing significantly on the European stage for procurement innovation and sustainability methods, while Curran has been named as Ireland’s Sustainable Development Goal Champion by Richard Bruton.“We are delighted to be leading the procurement conversation in higher education,” says Áine McManus, Head of Griffith College’s Graduate Business School. “Sustainability is a pertinent topic and we want to educate businesses on how sustainability should be at the top of their priorities.”
