Over 400 Owner Managers Attend ISME Annual Lunch
This year’s ISME Annual Lunch held at the Burlington Hotel on 1st June 2012 was a huge success with over 400 owner managers attending the event.
Guest Speaker: Colm McCarthy, Economist, UCD and “Bord Snip Nua”
Colm McCarthy is a graduate in Economics of University College Dublin and of the University of Essex. He has worked at the Economic and Social Research Institute, the Central Bank of Ireland, and with the economic consulting firm DKM. Since 2005, he has been lecturing in Economics at UCD. He has served on the boards of Ireland’s Electricity Supply Board and of the Irish Gas Board, has undertaken assignments for the EU Commission and for the World Bank, and has published over 40 technical articles on issues in applied economics in Irish and international journals. He contributed to the Killanin Report on the Irish Thoroughbred Industry published in 1986, and has undertaken numerous consulting assignments on aspects of the Irish breeding and racing industries.
