‘I recently completed the ISME Backing Business course (12 weeks), which commenced in September 2020. This excellently organised online course was one of the most engaging I have experienced in an online format. The quality of the content was excellent, and this was enhanced by the consummate professionalism of Simon Haigh and Jason Cooper. Within a short time during the first session, it was evident that Simon and Jason are at the top of their game. They presented the knowledge of “What” a business needs to do and then followed up with the tools of “How” to do it. This included providing business plan templates and a host of other useful tools to use in one’s current role. They are authentic and practitioners’ of what they teach. Their style of inviting full participant engagement leaves everyone with a sense of achievement.
I have come away with knowledge that benefits me in my current role, and provides me with ideas of how to navigate the future in these challenging times…’

‘ISME’s ‘Backing Business’ series recently led me to joining a 12 week Professional Development Programme facilitated by two eminent and highly experienced business professionals: Simon Haigh, a Growth Strategist and founder of the Haigh Institute and Jason Cooper, an accomplished international Sales Coach (1.5 hours straddling lunch time every Wednesday – Sept-Dec, 2020). What a treat! Not alone did I meet other business owners at varying stages of development or review, but I was expertly guided through personal/professional development planning and key approaches to creating value by serving others while adding value to my own business growth. The future of work in a digital world, navigating change and building a personal and professional brand was brought to life through debate and participants’ sharing of their own experiences from across a broad spectrum of business in Ireland and internationally. I highly recommend this course for anyone setting up business, reconfiguring business or transitioning to new business ventures – there is so much value for the novice through to the experienced hand who simply needs to reconnect and reaffirm personal and professional worth in a world in flux.’
