  • HR focus on key issues facing business in September
  • SCARP and SMEs at Dublin and Meath events
  • Pitch my business & networking

ISME, the Irish SME Association, are delighted to be back on the road to continue our Roadshow series starting in September. We will host events in Dublin, Meath, Kildare, Cork, Wexford, Limerick, Roscommon and Galway. Refreshments are provided at all events; admission is complimentary and all businesses are welcome to attend.

The programme for the series will include an address by ISME’s CEO, Neil McDonnell with an update on ISME activity; along with discussions and talks by guest speakers about key topics for businesses today; and ending with Pitch my business – our networking event allowing business representatives to give a 2-minute pitch and network with fellow business people. The duration will be approx. 2 hours and we will include Q&A sections. We invite those who register to attend to send questions or comments and they will be used at each event.

Commenting on the series ISME Chief Executive, Neil McDonnell said

“After two and a half years of remote meetings, it’s great for us to be back on the road, meeting members and other business owners. This is a really difficult time for many businesses, with rising costs, lower consumer confidence, and increasing regulation on the way. But there is information and help available to for you, and we look forward to addressing your issues on our roadshows.”

September will kick off with two events − the Lucan Spa Hotel on Wednesday, 21st September at 8.00-10.00am and CityNorth Hotel, Gormanston on Thursday, 2nd September at 9.00-11.00am. On both dates we will be joined by solicitor Barry Lyons who will be talking about SCARP (Small Company Rescue Process) and what it means for business. ISME’s HR advisors Michelle Ellis and Sinead Byrne will be discussing with Tara Daly, HR Services Director, MSS, key HR issues such Recruitment, Absenteeism, Redundancy, Hybrid working plus forthcoming legislation amendments such as Parents Leave, Right to Work Remotely, Statuary Sick Pay, Right to Disconnect and more.
