ISME Skillnet offer a small number/selection of industry-led and fully funded programmes for people who are not in employment, subject to eligibility criteria and the availability of places.  Our skills conversion courses can help you develop the skills to explore a career in a sector with greater employment potential. Enhance your job prospects by refreshing your existing skill set and expertise and learn new skills.

Applicants must meet the Skills Connect eligibility criteria and meet the specific entry criteria for the relevant programme.   Further details of Skills Connect can be found on the Skillnet Ireland website.

Digital Marketing & Strategy diploma with DBS

This is an industry-led course, which has been designed by Industry experts for Digital Marketing covering the latest trends, strategies, real-world experiences, and best practices in the Digital Industry. This practical hands-on course will give you a complete overview of all the core channels and how they fit together to plan and deliver successful digital and social media marketing campaigns, applicable for both B2B and B2C businesses.

All professional diplomas will be delivered wholly online as Live Online Lectures through Zoom.

Dip. Sustainability Management in Business with DBS

In this programme, learners will explore the concept of sustainability and its relationship to business
and examine the issues related to sustainability management in a local and global context. This
diploma will explain how sustainability management can be integrated into business operations and
introduce students to diverse ways in which businesses can promote and implement sustainability
and environmentally conscious policies in the workplace. This programme will also review the
support available to companies in Ireland for the development and implementation of ‘Green
Business’ strategies.

Assessment

Group Presentation 30%.

  • Group Debate 30%.
  • In week 12 students will submit a 1,500 – 2,000-word proposal for a sustainable management policy for a business – 40%.
Dipoloma in Office Admin with UCD Professional Accademy

Launch a career in administration by enrolling in this Professional Course in Office Administration. Gain the skills and knowledge needed to keep offices running like clockwork. Demonstrate your ability to maximise efficiency and productivity in the office and deliver this central support role with confidence and reliability.

Starring: 21st September to 7th December,

Modules run each Thursday evening from 18:30-21.30.

Dipolma in HR Management with CD Professional Accadamy

This course gives an excellent insight into all the main functions of the HR Manager’s role, showing
how they support all the members of an organisation at every stage in the employment cycle. You’ll
learn the skills of effective recruitment and selection, training and development, and establishing
robust systems, as well as all the techniques, knowledge and strategies you’ll need to keep every
member of a team engaged, productive and feeling valued. You’ll also come away with a very thorough
and reliable working knowledge of employment rights, the importance of proper procedures and
effective methods for dealing with performance issues and workplace disputes.
This course is aimed at those working within or seeking to enter the HR profession as well as anybody
with people management responsibilities. The course will enable participants to develop the key skills
and knowledge to operate successfully in HR as well as give them a practical toolkit to use which is
grounded in best practice and up to date thinking.
