John Barry has been a practitioner in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations for over 42 years. A graduate in law, John began his HR career with the Ford Motor Company, Dagenham, England, as a Labour Relations Officer.

In 1980 John relocated to Ireland, joining the FUE (now IBEC), and in 1988, John established Management Support Services (Ireland) Limited, providing advice, HR and administration support, and representation on all matters concerning Irish Employment Law, Human Resource Practice and Procedures, Industrial Relations and Recruitment services, to a broad range of companies, small, medium and large. MSS have been members of, and worked closely with, ISME since its formation.

John is the Co- Author of two books, “Practical Employment Law” and “What is the Law? Termination and Redundancy” and would regularly provide public commentary and training on HR related matters.
