As a result of our continuing success, we are seeking to recruit a qualified project manager to replace the incumbent PM who will retire at the end of the year.
We are a small company of 10 employees. At any time we will be running a variety of software implementation projects, software development projects, hardware installations and support of all the above. Some are multi-year implementations, others are short 2 or 3 week projects.
This is not a traditional Project Management role; it will allow the successful candidate to develop a multi-faceted career in a growing IT services company. Reflecting the nature of the position, the job title is Resource Manager.
In conjunction with our management team, the Resource Manager is responsible for developing and managing projects: their time, scope and resource requirements.
As this role intersects with all aspects of the services we deliver, including our support services, after an initial bedding-in period the role will expand to encompass a support management role: ensuring SLA targets are being met and reported on, assisting staff with the resources they need to perform their roles etc. Essentially we treat the management of the support function as an ongoing project.
