Job Description
We are a well-established Building Services Design Consultancy firm seeking an experienced Energy Engineer to join our team in Limerick City. Our firm handles a broad range of projects, offering exposure to all aspects of energy & building services design.

Applicants should meet most of the following criteria:
- Minimum of a Level 7 degree in Energy Engineering or a related discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, etc.), with a strong understanding and practical experience in Building Services Engineering
- 3+ years of work experience in the Building Services or Sustainable Energy Industry
- Working knowledge of Design Builder and IES VE to include energy calculations using ModelIT, ApacheSim, MacroFlo and Radiance IES
- Knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and CIBSE guides
- Good understanding of renewable technologies
- Excellent Report Writing Skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads, work effectively to deadlines and be a good team player
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Experience in AutoCAD, REVIT desirable
- Experience with BREEAM, LEED, TGD-033 Department of Education guidance’s advantageous
- BER Assessor qualifications distinct advantage
- Eligible to work in Ireland

Duties and responsibilities will include but are not restricted to:
- Conducting energy modeling using IES VE
- Performing heating/cooling load calculations, daylight analysis, overheating analysis, Part L and BER assessments
- Estimating energy consumption for both new and existing buildings
- Assisting clients in achieving energy objectives and targets
- Identifying opportunities and measures for energy savings
- Conducting energy surveys and audits of existing buildings
- Preparing energy reports and desktop analyses
- Supervising IES modelers, and mentoring junior engineers
- Reporting to senior management.
