ISME Skillnet and Griffith College are proud to present our partnered Certified Marketing & Sales for SMEs QQI Level 7 special award. The primary focus of this course is on developing practical skills beneficial to successfully running an SME in Modern Ireland with a special focus in Sales & Marketing. This course is one of the very few accredited sales courses in Ireland. Learning is transferred to the company through the completion of an IN-COMPANY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. All participants complete an improvement project in their own company under the guidance of a project supervisor.

Aim

On completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

  • Apply theories, concepts & methods pertaining to marketing & sames in their own business.
  • Recognise the relationship between the modern business environment and emerging technologies as they relate to marketing & sales.
  • Create a strategic sales & marketing plan for their organisation to include a reliable analysis of the market place and an ecommerce strategy.
  • Recognise the relationship between the modern business environment and regulatory requirements including data protection, as they relate to marketing & sales.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of tools & techniques to support the development of a marketing plan, including B2B and B2C strategies as appropriate.
  • Critically review their own performance in terms of time management and planning in order to effect improvements.

Methodology

This programme will be delivered using a combination of formal lectures, small group work, discussion of case studies and practical exercises. The teaching methodology will pay special attention to problem based learning techniques. In advance of each unit, each participant on the programme will be contacted by the Programme Director to invite them to submit any issues they would like to address in the coming workshops. The small class and group sizes are expected to facilitate engagement by all participants.

On this programme each candidate will be appointed a specific project supervisor for the duration of the programme. The project supervisor will be responsible for engaging with the learner to achieve a practical development plan.

Certification

Participants who successfully complete the company improvement project and related report and presentation are eligible for certification to achieve a Special Purpose QQI Level 7 award.
