PANEL OF EXPERTS: Jamie O’ Hanlon, Avid Partners: Jamie has spent his working life providing close support to business owners and manger in the areas of financial management, strategic planning and business development and his passion is to see the SME business sector within Ireland profit and prosper. A fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Jamie is also the founder and managing partner of Avid Partners Accountants & Business Advisers, established in 2001.

Eilis Quinlan FCCA:  Principal, Qualified Accountant and Registered Auditor of Eilis J. Quinlan & Co. Eilis worked in practice until starting her own firm in 1992. She is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a registered auditor, and holds a Certificate in Computing from DCU. Eilis is also a member of MENSA.

Declan Hughes, Assistant Secretary General in the Department of Business, Enterprise & Innovation: Declan has the assigned responsibility at Assistant Secretary level for policy and operational matters relating to policy and supports for Irish owned businesses, SMEs and entrepreneurship policy. This includes strategic and budgetary oversight of Enterprise Ireland, the Local Enterprise Offices, the National Standards Authority for Ireland (NSAI), together with the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland. Ensuring the availability of a comprehensive suite of supports for Brexit preparedness by enterprise is also a priority. Supporting investment by SMEs is a priority and the Division takes a lead role in the policy and support for the seed and venture capital administered through Enterprise Ireland, for working capital and future growth loan schemes administered for DBEI by SBCI, for Microfinance Ireland and the Credit Guarantee Scheme.
