Business owners are typically great at problem solving. However, when a staff member is unsure what to do, time is short so it’s often easier for the business owner to just give them the right answer rather than to develop the team member to solve their own problems. This results in a pattern of problems being regularly escalated to the business owner, resulting in them unwittingly becoming bottlenecks and being diverted away from their own work.
This workshop explores the reasons why people escalate issues, the problem solving process and how to identify and develop staff members’ problem solving skills and confidence so that they only escalate appropriate issues.
