​Alison Cowzer

Alison is co-founder of East Coast Bakehouse - a new large-scale food manufacturing business based in Co Louth, producing a range of cookies and biscuits for the Irish, UK and European markets. As an investor and Dragon, on RTE’s Dragon’s Den series, she has made investments in a number of start-up enterprises.

A co-founder of The Company of Food, Alison also works with small group of High Growth Potential Irish Food SME's. Alison also spends some of her time advising a number of NGO's: she is Chair of Women for Election, a board member of GOAL and a trustee of the Ronald Mc Donald House Charity.

Alan Smeaton

For more than 20 years Alan has been Professor of Computing at DCU where he has been Dean of Faculty and Head of School. He is a Founding Director of the Insight Centre for Data Analytics funded by Science Foundation Ireland and by industry partners. This is the largest non-capital research grant ever awarded by a government in Ireland and works with more than 80 industry partners from MNCs to SMEs. Alan’s own research covers the ways of analysing and indexing all kinds of information based on its content so it can be searched, recommended and summarised.

His current focus is on how we can use technology to support human memory, addressing things like why we forget somethings and remember others, and why some images or videos are more memorable than others.

John Popolizio

JP has 30 years of experience in risk, cyber, regulatory, counter-crime as a CSO, CRO, CIO and CTO in global financial firms.He has led distressed regulatory and cyber situations, turnarounds and crisis management.
